It’s important to note that the CADOJ will mail you your record, so it may take some time to reach you.
Ordinarily, we advise clients to wait 2-3 weeks. It could arrive sooner though.
The California Background Check covers arrests in California, but not outside of California.
So, if you need a background check that covers any incidents that occurred outside of California, you will need to obtain an FBI Background Check.
